February 24th, 2010

There have been several award-winning trucks from Chevrolet over the years, including the Chevrolet Suburban 2500 of 2008. There are two trim levels to the Suburban 2500, including LT and LS. The LS version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2007 the popular 6.0 liter Vortec has made this a popular choice for sport utility buyers nationwide.

The restyled Suburban 2500 LS is equipped with a 6.0-liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The Vortec engine is mated to a General Motors six-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2007 version.

The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering gear-style configuration. The Suburban 2500 uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. Load balancing is provided by torsion bar front springs and leaf in the rear.

The fuel system for the 2008 Suburban 2500 is a SFI system, running on gasoline . The fuel is regulated by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design.
