A Better 1997’s Model: The 1998 Chevrolet K1500 WT

There have been several award-winning trucks from Chevrolet over the years, including the Chevrolet K1500 of 1998. There are three trim levels to the K1500, including WT, Silverado, and Cheyenne. The WT version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 1997 the popular 4.3 liter Vortec has made this a popular choice for standard cab pickup buyers across the country.
Under the Hood

Steering control is handled through a power-steering gear-style configuration. The K1500 comes equipped with power-assisted brakes, with 2-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are drum. The truck uses torsion bar front springs and leaf in the rear.

We Think…
The 1998 model year was telling year for the Chevrolet K1500. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the WT version) meant that buyers could find the version that best suited their needs.
No less than 5 of my friends have a K1500. I can’t say more than two of them are happy with it…
Thanks. I need to look more I guess. I need a new truck this year.
